TKAT Annual Service Celebrates a Decade of Success

The Keys Academy Trust community came together in celebration, reflection and inspiration at this year's Annual Service, held at St Paul's Church, Wokingham. As the Trust begins its special 10th anniversary year, the event marked not only how far we have come together, but also the exciting future we continue to build for every child.

The church was filled with pupils from all 13 schools, staff, governors, trustees, families and distinguished guests from across the local community, including The Worshipful the Mayor of Wokingham Borough Cllr Rob Comber and Cllr Steve Clubley for Norreys East (Conservative) Wokingham Town Council, whose presence reflected the importance of the occasion and the strong partnership The Keys enjoys with its local communities, as everyone came together under the theme of "Unlocking the Future".

In the autumn sunshine, the service captured everything that makes The Keys Academy Trust so special. Every school took centre stage, confidently sharing poems, stories, reflections and readings that brought our Trust values to life. What made this years’ service particularly powerful was the way schools worked together in pairs, demonstrating the strength of collaboration that sits at the heart of our Trust. Schools joined forces to explore our six values of Excellence, Partnership, Love of Learning, Innovation, Nurture and Integrity.

Throughout the service, children from partnered schools took part in a series of "Key Moments", each representing one of our values. As each value was celebrated, a pupil carried forward a piece of a large symbolic key. By the end of the service, six individual sections had been brought together to create one complete key, representing the shared values that unite every TKAT school and help unlock the future for all our children.

The final message resonated strongly across the congregation: six values, one key, one trust, one team. The completed key served as a powerful reminder that while each school brings its own unique strengths, we achieve even more when we work together.

The service was also a fitting way to launch what promises to be a memorable year of celebrations marking ten years of The Keys Academy Trust.

A particular highlight was the return of the TKAT Choir. Despite having only limited opportunities to rehearse together, the TKAT Choir delivered their second consecutive stand out performance that showcased the talent, commitment and enthusiasm of pupils from across the Trust. Their singing provided a memorable and uplifting conclusion to the service, drawing together voices from different schools in a perfect reflection of the Trust's 'One Trust, One Team' ethos.
