Part Time, term time - 16.25 hrs per week
Mon-Fri 12pm-3:15pm
FTE £18,795 - £19,171 pay award pending
Pro rata: £6,848 - £6,985

We are seeking a creative, passionate and enthusiastic support assistant to join our successful team. Our assistant will be initially based in our Reception class and will benefit from the opportunity to develop their practice among our friendly, experienced staff, who are committed to providing the best learning experiences for our children.

We require a learning support assistant with experience supporting pupils with ASD or communication difficulties who is looking to work amongst our unique, supportive community. You will have the knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and commitment to deliver outstanding learning opportunities with a child who has an Education Health and Care Plan. You will demonstrate and share best practice in Teaching and Learning
approaches to ensure the children in your care flourishes.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience with supporting children with specialist communication needs and ASD.
  • Experience and training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and the
  • Attention Autism Approach preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging circumstances.
  • High expectations of all pupils and their own professional conduct
  • Ability to maintain our high standards of achievement and behaviour.
  • Commitment to outstanding teaching and learning.
