Local Governing Bodies
Local Governing Bodies (LGB) oversee a variety of functions of the schools within the Trust, including the monitoring of School Improvement and Standards; Safeguarding; Premises & Health & Safety; Finance; Special Educational Needs & Inclusion; Early Years Foundation Stage, Teaching and Learning. Parent & Community links and Personnel.
Governors provide strategic direction for the school and hold the leadership to account. Main tasks include ensuring that the school has clear vision and ethos, holding the headteacher to account for the educations performance of the school and its pupils and to oversee the financial performance of the school to make sure its money it well spent.
LGBs meet at least four times a year. Governors visit the school regularly to meet staff and pupils to help understand the schools’ strengths and areas for development.
