Uplands Celebrates Grand Opening
Nov 10 2025
We were delighted to celebrate the official grand opening of the newly renovated Nursery within Uplands Primary School and Nursery, which took place on Friday 7th November 2025. This milestone event marks the completion of the majority of the improvement works, made possible through the generous DfE grant secured earlier this year.
The Nursery was officially opened by Peter Swallow Member of Parliament for Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Whitgrove. The ceremony was also attended by representatives from The Keys Academy Trust, local governors and several contractors who played a key role in bringing this project to life. Guests enjoyed an exclusive first look at the beautifully redesigned spaces and were impressed by how the funding has been used to create a vibrant, welcoming environment for our youngest learners.
Lee Parsons, Headteacher of Uplands Primary School and Nursery said “This expansion reflects our commitment to providing outstanding early years education for the local community. The new facilities have been designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child who joins”.
Interest in the Nursery has been overwhelmingly positive, with many applications already being submitted. We are looking forward to welcoming our first group of two-year-olds from January 2026, and we cannot wait to see them thrive in their new learning environment.
