Annual Governor’s Conference: AI in Education
Oct 8 2025

The Keys Academy Trust governors, trustees and school leaders came together on Tuesday 7 October 2025 for our third TKAT Governor Conference, exploring one of the most exciting and fast-moving topics in education today Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The evening was themed around “AI in Education: What Every Primary School Governor Needs to Know,” which was led by Andrew Dax, Director of Digital Learning at Wellington College. Andrew delivered a thought-provoking and highly interactive session, encouraging governors and school leaders to not only think about the opportunities and challenges of AI, but to get hands-on and experience how it can already support governance and leadership in schools.
The conference reflected TKAT’s core values of Innovation and Love of Learning inspiring governors and school leaders to approach new technologies with curiosity and confidence. Governors explored how AI can enhance pupil engagement, improve efficiency, and support staff wellbeing, while maintaining the human connection at the heart of education.
Andrew Dax commented: “The level of engagement, thoughtful questions, and genuine interest from all attendees made it a thoroughly enjoyable event.”
Our governors continue to demonstrate great strength, insight, and commitment to The Keys community. Through their collaboration, curiosity, and willingness to embrace innovation, they are helping to shape the future of education working together as one team to unlock the potential of every child across The Key’s schools.
