Celebrating Community and Belonging at The Keys Academy Trust’s 8th Annual Celebration Service

The Keys Academy Trust gathered together for its 8th Annual Celebration Service, hosted this year by Sonning CE Primary School. The event brought together pupils, staff, trustees, governors, and members of the wider community, including The Worshipful Deputy Mayor of Wokingham Borough Cllr Rob Comber and Yuan Yang Labour MP for Earley and Woodley, to mark another year of shared success and partnership.

The theme of this years’ service was “All Are Welcome” which celebrated the warmth and inclusivity that lie at the heart of every Keys’ school. Guided by the Trust’s core value of Nurture, the service reflected on how schools across the Trust care for, support, and inspire every member of their communities.

Throughout the service, pupils from across The Keys shared prayers, readings, and songs that captured the spirit of belonging and compassion. Their voices reminded everyone present of the importance of kindness, understanding, and the simple yet powerful ways in which schools help every child to grow and flourish.

The TKAT Choir also made their first public performance and closed the service in the most beautiful of ways with two very uplifting songs.

Hester Wooller, CEO said:

“Our annual service is always a special moment to pause, reflect, and give thanks for all that unites our schools. This year’s theme, All Are Welcome, beautifully reflects the open, nurturing spirit that defines The Keys Academy Trust. We are deeply grateful to Sonning CE Primary for hosting such an uplifting celebration.”

Polly Harris, Chair of Governors at St Michael’s C of E Primary School, Sandhurst said:

“The Annual Service today was lovely, it was so nice to see all the schools together performing and enjoying the service. It certainly allowed me to reflect on the benefits of being in such a welcoming and inclusive Trust. The TKAT choir were brilliant too, and what a great way to enable TKAT schools to unite.”

As The Keys Academy Trust continues to grow and evolve, the service stood as a powerful reminder of the strength found in community, collaboration, and care values that remain at the core of its vision for education.
